As society becomes ever more consumer focussed and uptake of faster Broadband in homes and the workplace likely to continue apace, opportunities exist for established and fledgling businesses in Wales’ Creative Industries to create and exploit new digital content for a worldwide market.

However, history has shown that the emergence of new commercial opportunities very quickly reveals a parallel criminal marketplace. Research over 2007-8 has revealed that e-Crime has cost business in Wales over £280 million in lost sales and productivity. This figure is based solely on known and reported incidents.
