Besides football, ice-skating is definitely a popular sport for us Dutchies. So, when we were asked by iSkate to create a short film, we were more than happy to oblige.
The film revolves around the heritage of ice-skating on one hand and explaining the coordinating structure of iSkate as an organisation on the other hand.
We chose to execute both perspectives by making use of different narratives. We followed Michel Mulder, who won an Olympic gold medal at Sochi and Rem de Hair, a student rookie that still has to give his all as a professional athlete at iSkate.
We molded these two narratives and used an infographic overlay as a technical element to indicate the speed of the ice skaters, the temperature of the ice and other technical ice-skating facts.
As the Dutch title Alles voor IJs indicates, this film illustrates why these athletes give everything for ice’.
