A series of behind the scenes and 'making of' films with the cast, crew, young filmmakers and FiE team members involved in The Primary School Silent Film programme.

Beginning in January 2014, 10 imaginative primary school classes have been crafting wild worlds and unique characters, delving into legend, history, literature, geography and art. We’ve visited Merlin’s den, the Amazon Rainforest, Ancient Egypt, an enchanted forest, Buckingham Palace and the city of Petra.

We’ve discovered a Dinosaur fossil, aided an isolated tribe, blasted off into space, trekked to King’s Cross station with King Arthur and his Knights, worshipped Egyptian Gods and explored a timeless Abstract masterpiece.
The FIE workshops are all rooted in producing engaging learning tools that enrich curriculum topics currently being studied. The inventiveness of the children in creating these silent films has been overwhelming, as has their enthusiasm and behaviour during workshop and filming days. They have been fantastically supported by their teachers, who have gathered costumes and designed props, set dressing and signs, elements that all contribute to the magic of the production.
