I gave a creative talk at AKQA, San Francisco on the value of human connection in the digital world, and why people's universal desire for real, meaningful moments leads them to jump past hurdles and engage in ways that research and testing can’t predict.
I recently had the honor of giving a talk at 72U (72u.org) in Los Angeles and spoke about how taking risks, breaking rules, and following my creative passion has taken me to some amazing places I never could have imagined. Reality is malleable!
Help the public understand the fundamental issue of the Occupy movement.
Hack the medium at the root of the frustrations: money. We went to protests and stamped people’s money with infographics about the wealth disparity in America. To broaden the number of participants, free downloadable
templates, available at occupygeorge.com, enabled anyone with a home printer to take action.
As these dollar bills naturally circulated, awareness of the fundamental issue was raised. For once, money was talking for everyday people and news media, both national and international, took notice, including coverage from
TIME, The Guardian, Fast Company, The Huffi ngton Post, Yahoo news, Gizmodo, and hundreds of other news outlets and websites.
