The Day I Met The King, based on the song from the forthcoming album "Songs About Other People", is an intimate portrait of a man recounting his younger years — the relationship he had with a girl, Renee, that he lost, and the day Elvis Presley gave him a silver dollar.
The Day I Met The King stars Shango Baku was directed and edited by Francis Newall, and produced by Matthew Diegan. It was written by Carlotta Eden and Harry Harris, based on a song written by Harry Harris. Tom McCagherty and Francis Newall were our directors of photography. It came 2nd in the London School of English's short film competition.
The film was shot on location at Mabledon House, Kent.
