  4. Many people are now advocating ‘Asset-Based Community Development.’ But what do we really mean by this? What can we learn from international experience? And at a crucial point where policy makers will decide how to invest scarce resources, are there opportunities to bring this experience to bear as we influence policy development and practice? Between November 2009 and April 2010 participants will explore these questions and more, at face-to-face events and online at fieryspirits.com. Insights, stories and evidence from this process will be published as a report with companion case studies. This will be launched at IACD’s annual global conference in New Orleans in July 2010.
