LGBT Center of Raleigh

  1. Erin Iannacchione served on the Board of the LGBT Center of Raleigh since the Center began. During that time, she served as the Director of Outreach for the Center, helping to launch many of the programs and initiatives available at the Center today. She also created the LGBT Center of Raleigh Library, leading a team of dedicated volunteers so we can have one of the best Community Libraries in the Southeast. Erin continues to serve as our Librarian. Erin received an award for her dedication to the Center at the 7th Annual Awards Gala on Friday, October 16, 2015. Thank you, Erin, for all your love for our Community!

  2. Nick Buchser began volunteering with Triangle Community Works long before the LGBT Center of Raleigh was formed. He ultimately served TCW as Board Chair. When TCW and the LGBT Center of Raleigh merged in 2010, Nick became the leader of the Center’s Youth and Family Initiative – a leadership position he continues to fulfill.

Nick's dedication to the younger side of our community is why we recognize him as the LGBT Center of Raleigh’s Volunteer of the Year for 2014. The LGBT Center of Raleigh is truly grateful for Nick’s exceptional volunteer leadership efforts for our community over the years.

The Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Nicholas Buchser at the LGBT Center’s 6th Annual Awards Gala on Friday, October 10th, 2014 as a part of our celebration of National Coming Out Day. This video was prepared for presentation at the Gala as a part of Nick's introduction.
