UPDATE: I redid the video from scratch with sharper rendering, better color correction and much smoother stabilization. Let me know what you think!
On 11th, September 2014, I embarked on a journey to conquer Mt Rinjani ( 3,726 m or 12,224 ft), the second highest active volcano in Indonesia. It was definitely one of the difficult trek I've done, not because of the height but because of the little time we had to acclimatize to the altitude. We went from sea level to 3000+m in less than 24 hours. I also spent quality time in Gili and Bali and hung out with one of the most interesting people I've met.
This video is dedicated to the hardship of mountaineering and the diversity Indonesia got to offer. Indonesia is the only country I could think of that let you go from the summit of a mountain as high as 3726m to a different tropical island (Gilis) in less than 24 hours.
It was a short trip but it was one of the most memorable ones. I'm grateful for all the great people I met and spent time with (you know who you are :)).
The Kiwiland: Dedicated to Nature, Adventure and Friendship
On 20th October 2014, I embarked on a 5-week solo trip to New Zealand. Throughout my journey, I climbed mountains, walked one of the NZ's greatest walk, hiked on a glacier, jumped off the plane at 15000 ft, hitchhiked with strangers, made new friends and spent some quality time with each of them. It is definitely one of the best time of my life.
This video will take you through everything I experienced in New Zealand and hopefully you will be able to feel the natural high I felt throughout my travel in the Kiwiland. Enjoy.
Places I went in chronological order:
- Auckland (Mt Eden)
- Rotorua (Wai-o-Tapu)
- Lake Taupo (Tongoriro Crossing, Huka Falls)
- Picton (Snout Track)
- Motueka (Abel Tasman)
- Westport (Cape Foulwind)
- Franz Josef
- Queenstown (Ben Lomond Mountain)
- Te Anau (Routeburn Track)
- Lake Tekapo
- Mt Cook (Hooker Valley walk)
- Dunedin (Tunnel Beach, Aramoana Beach, The Peninsula)
My girlfriend and I took a 22 day trip to Thailand and Singapore. We visited Singapore, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Bangkok and each destination was filled with endless adventures. From skyscrapers to scuba diving, sharks, tigers, elephants, temples and everything else in between it was something else.
