Bizarre and cool, that’s the best way that I can describe these little short animations. Created for FoxP2’s (an advertising agency) interactive portfolio CD-ROM. Each animation uses an individual letter from the word FoxP2 to create crazy little creatures out of a lquid/solid substance. Our friends over at gloo digital designed the characters and we animated them, breathed a strange sort of half-life into them. They also built the final product.
Character animation is one of the few staples of traditional animation, that and crazy transforming robots. So we were very excited to partner up with BBDO on this cute little 20 seconder for PureJoy. Squirrels, rabbits, birds and a catchy little tune all wrapped around a beautiful hillock blanketed in warm sunshine, all makes for a refreshing and sweet animation.
What a great conference this was, a truly inspirational journey through the minds and designs of some of the best in today’s fields. With it comes an exceptional integrated campaign, from print to billboards right the way through to TV. We were delighted to be given the opportunity to work on such creative, strong themed work. We not only collaborated on the TV side but were also instrumental in problem solving and creating multiple elements for the agencies print campaign. And we lent our creative hand in putting together the simple yet elegant, event speaker title animations for the conference itself, for the 3rd year in a row.

What a cool little animation this turned out to be! A tight deadline meant finding a method of animation that was quick for our artists to produce but still had that polish that we wanted. I can only commend our 3d guys for putting their heads and down and just grafting hard to get this out. For such a pressure cooker of a job, I think everyone had loads of fun on this. And it shows. The client allowed us some rope to be creative and were very happy with our progress. And a happy client meant very few changes which allowed us time to craft the animation even further.
