  2. How do I engage the electronic key lock in bi linked hand transmitters?
You can recognise our bi·linked hand transmitter by its long white shape and its two or four buttons or by its square black design. The keys can be locked to prevent the controls from being inadvertently activated while the transmitter is in your trouser pocket or on your key ring etc.

Turning the button lock ON or OFF:
Press the programming button on the back of the hand transmitter with a ballpoint pen for about 5 seconds. This engages or disengages the button lock.
Button lock ON: The LED on the front flashes once quickly to show that the button lock has been engaged.
Button lock OFF: The LED on the front flashes twice quickly to show that the button lock has been disengaged.
Using with the button lock ON:

You can use the hand transmitter to open or close your door even if the button lock is ON. Just press one of the transmitter buttons for about 2 - 4 seconds. The LED on the front flashes once quickly. This cancels the lock for a 20-second period.
You can now use the hand transmitter to open or close your door in the usual way.
The LED on the front flashes once quickly and transmits the instruction to move the door.
The button lock cancellation is renewed every time that a button is pressed.
The button lock engages again if a button is not pressed within the space of 20 seconds.

The following models feature a button lock: Digital 564, 572, 633 until the production month june 2018 and Digital 633 permanentely.

  3. My garage door or garden gate does not move although I can hear the opener system working.
If you press the hand transmitter and hear the opener system starting up but the door does not move, the door may be disengaged from the opener system. This means that the opener and door are disconnected from each other. In this case, all you have to do is re-engage the opener with the door or gate. There are particular instructions for doing so for different types of opener.

When you re-engage the door or gate with the opener, it is extremely important to ensure that the door or gate is always in the same position as when it was disengaged from the opener! Otherwise, the door or gate may not stop and remain at the preset position, and this may cause the door or opener system to become damaged as a result.

Go to your opener system and pull the cord with the green ball handle until an audible clicking sound is heard. This means that the engaging mechanism has sprung into action.
Move the door by hand until the sliding carriage engages with the rail track again with a second audible clicking sound. Your opener is now re-engaged with the door and the door should now move when the hand transmitter is pressed.
To find out how to re-engage the opener with the door, please watch the video.

  4. My hand transmitter has been lost or stolen. What do I have to do to make my garage safe again?
If you lose a hand transmitter, it is safer to delete the transmitter from the system or to change the coding of all other transmitters and the opener. This will at least prevent anyone who finds your transmitter from using it. Find out how to delete hand transmitters from the system or change the code by watching the videos that follow. Instructions for doing so vary depending on which wireless radio system is used.

  5. I would like to have more light in my garage. What can I do?
We have developed additional expansion modules for our Comfort 260, 270, 280 and Comfort 360, 370, 380 garage door openers to provide more light in your garage. These expansion modules are very easy to fit yourself as an upgrade - they are clip-in modules which can simply be plugged in. The result is double the amount of light with only very little additional electricity use thanks to energy-saving LED technology.

All opener settings, such as for your hand transmitters, remain saved, of course, after installation. The LED expansion modules can be purchased from your authorised dealer.

To find out how easy it is to fit the expansion modules, please watch our two videos. Please bear in mind that it is essential to unplug your opener from the socket and so disconnect it from the electricity supply before carrying out any installation work.
