"Heading North" is a new culinary travel concept developed for the michelin starred restaurant Noma, located in Copenhagen, Denmark. The restaurant is well known for its innovative take on food and commodities from the nordic countries.
René Redzepi, head chef, wants to cook and serve his dishes in nature, close to where the ingredients are found in order to create a more authentic experience for his guests. A unique location in each country is chosen to be "restaurant" for a day, where hunters, fishermen and farmers from the local area, will share their stories and tell about the different commodities, that makes this place special.
We've created the website as a journey through the mysterious landscapes of the nordic countries. The viewer gets small samples and previews of the nature and culture along the way, just enough to trigger their imagination. We want to maintain the mystery and build up the excitement, that takes place at the event in order to keep it exclusive.
* We made this as a school project and the whole concept is fictional. All the illustrations are done by us, but we take no credit and/or have no copyright for the 2 photographs (the fisherman and the forrest). These photos only appear in this presentation.
