Boffins at the RGO asked shy genius Richard Hogg to create a short animation explaining how scientists are able to measure the distance between stars using parallax, doppler and red shift. Along with first rate animators Kwok Fung Lamb, Robert Milne and Ross Philips Dick created the most simple, informative and entertaining 4 minutes ever. I was asked to sound design, produce and compose a fitting piece of music. I chose a waltz. If only school was like this.
This version is an instrumental with sound design. The full version (also found here) includes a voiceover from Head Astronomer Olivia Johnson.
