This piece is one we made for a university project. we had worked ourselves into the ground filming for this along with other assignments and setting up the space for the exhibition this was premiered at! There were a few blips in the video but felt we should upload the video as it was for our assignment.
If you could take the time to answer these questions it would be a great help for this assignment! you can either Email is your response at: firstname.lastname@example.org or you can post them in comments!
What did you like about this video and why?
Is there anything you would change about the video, why?
What do you think the video/project is trying to say/portray?
me. Is all about showing that you can carry on with your passions no matter what happens in your life. Within this they are wanting to push people’s perception of those less able by showing that even when people are disabled they can carry on and push themselves in sports and even rival those who aren’t disabled. Raising the question of are they “less abled”? This project is hoped be carried on into the future, meeting more and more people who push through and embrace disability or injury to carry on with passions or sports.
We wanted to start this project as a passion project however, wanted to wait until we both felt we had enough technical skill to produce the best visuals for each person’s story as well as enough understanding and grasp on our own limits to make the communication and delivery of the project to professional standard that Marked MediaHouse aim for. Both of us have gone through things in the past which stopped us doing sports but we both had the determination to carry on with our passions, this is what produced the idea, drove the project and bolstered the pride.
This is a sneak peak of our current University project where we are looking at how people carry on with their passions no matter what. Our main focus in this project is disabilities in sports.
The current title is just a working title!
We are seeking a small amount of funding to help us with production costs and music licences. we aren't looking for huge amounts, just token gestures, to help us make this project the best it can be!
