MATTER OF AGES investigates physical presence, its dispersion, emergence and disappearance in an ever-changing scenography. The melting of the body into the material light of gold, as a second birth.
In MATTER OF AGES we look into the relationship between the moving body and gold as a dialectic intercourse between darkness and light. Having therefore the gold playing itself from itself, layer upon layer, gold from gold, and breathing, and living and dancing, and passing through the complete labour of giving life to the figure, without interfering with it: the living body would be the shadow swarming at the edges of that light, a terrestrial border. Where gold and bodies are not placed in space as contents, but yielding as a containing, inclusive and involving space.
Having the gold bleed.
For history is perhaps the bleeding of time.
And images are perhaps the bleeding of light.
And humanity is perhaps the bleeding of god.
And dance is perhaps the bleeding of space.
But don’t be afraid. All that blood is mainly a color.
