Wear Your Helmet Chicago

Wear Your Helmet Chicago, is a project that aims to reach the bicycling community of Chicago and encourage them to always, always, always wear a helmet. It doesn't matter how experienced of biker you are, or how far you're traveling, or how easy your route is, bicycle accidents can happen to anyone. In a city with more than 170 miles of bike lanes and an increasing number of cyclists, there is no helmet law to enforce the need to wear a helmet when riding. Between 2005 and 2010, 32 cyclists were killed, and in those fatalities only one cyclist is known to be wearing a helmet. In that same time there were also approximately 9,000 crashes that resulted in bicyclist injuries. So please Chicago, Wear Your Helmet!
