1. It's the "final" version of Gin Tumble! Yet again, we have lots of updated art. Also added to the game are sound effects, multiple levels, improved bubble movement, and general game balance and debugging.

This update of the game is considered the first of the final versions that will be completed over the next two weeks; it's essentially the first "whole" version. Next up: polish!

  2. This week is another big behind the scenes style update. The botanical effects have been balanced and finalized, we decided to keep only particular effects in the game (water, ethanol, and the dreaded stink bits). The score gauges have been updated as well, they now fill to a max of three botanicals each, and when all are full they are used to create the gin recipe!

  3. We're now at the Gin Tumble alpha! This week's changes include updated sprites and animations, updated list of botanicals, and many adjustments to the camera settings and general speed/timing of the game. Under the hood is the system that will apply the botanical effects as they are earned (by releasing at least two of the same kind when the bubble is popped).

  4. The Gin Tumble Alpha is here! This time the changes include a lot of debugging, stability, and performance tweaks. Besides quality control, the new animations for the Stink Bits are in the game, Stink Bits are generated when the good botanicals are purged, the recipes are fully functional (the gauges to the left fill when the appropriate botanical has been released, and only the required botanicals are put into the basket), and the remaining botanicals have been added to the game. There is currently a temporary win and lose screen, the full version will incorporated to the menu system later in development.

  5. For the third prototype of Gin Tumble, a soft timer has been added that increases the frequency of botanicals being added and purged, and increases the speed of the bubble's movement. Currently the timer is invisible, and set to be exceptionally fast for testing purposes. There are many new animations as well (such as the bubble queue mentioned in the previous update), which have been added to the game. The recipe manager is in progress, and it currently decides which botanicals to add, and how many will be needed for the recipe. The recipes themselves will be added later.
