    About Steve Gibson
    President and Founder, Gibson Research Corporation

    Mr. Gibson is a software engineer and security researcher and is very active in discussions around Internet security and privacy. His company, the Gibson Research Corporation, is a recognized leader in developing personal computer software. Gibson has had a long career in technology, with his resume listing jobs back to the age of 13. He began his career with hardware projects but moved toward software development in the 1980s. One of his earliest successes was a light pen graphics system for Apple II, which was eventually bought by Atari.

    Gibson co-hosts a weekly computer security-focused podcast with Leo Laporte called Security Now!. In the podcast he covers security news as well as security best practices for individuals and enterprises. Gibson has appeared on Leo Laporte’s other podcast, This Week in Tech. Gibson regularly speaks to industry-related groups around the United States.

    Dan Kaminsky has been a noted security researcher for over fifteen years and has spent his career advising Fortune 500 companies such as Cisco, Avaya, and Microsoft. He spent three years working with Microsoft on their Vista, Server 2008, and Windows 7 releases.

    Mr. Kaminsky is best known for his work finding a critical flaw in the Internet's Domain Name System (DNS), and for leading what became the largest synchronized fix to the Internet's infrastructure of all time. Of the seven Recovery Key Shareholders who possess the ability to restore the DNS root keys, he is the American representative. He is currently chief scientist and cofounder of White Ops, a firm specializing in detecting fake users on websites.
