We designed a monument for the entrance of Seibu Ikebukuro Flagship Store, called “Hikari No Tokei” (Clock of Light). The monument features 4 LED surfaces on which the current time is expressed in motion typography, changing proportions at every second. At every hour, the monument features time-announcement of synchronized music and motion. The music is produced by Yukihiro Takahashi.

Even though I did not implement any of the nice openGL features shown in his examples since I didnt have the time to understand them, you should definately give it a look.
