This video provides a short overview the exhibition 'Aperture - Where The Light Gets In'
The exhibition features three separate video installations
Drift - a two channel video installation
Wood From the Tress - a single channel video installation
Copper spheres -three channel video installation
Each of the videos are projected in close proximity to each other suggesting an analogy between them.
The representation of the young woman in the red dress, the places that surround her, the visuals and the sound suggest an emotional landscape where we see the young woman drifting through the interior landscape of an old Georgian house and paradoxically drifting on the ocean currents

Wood From the Trees is a video installation that is projected within an old mahogany display cabinet. This piece is created in direct response to the historical site in Coole Park.

With installation work I like to subvert the mechanics of vision, like looking through a copper sphere to view a video or viewing the woodlands in Coole suspended within a display cabinet.

Heads up: the shoutbox will be retiring soon. It’s tired of working, and can’t wait to relax. You can still send a message to the channel owner, though!
