In Spring 2014 we had a walk around our home city, Helsinki. We visited our dear colleagues' and friends' shops. We created two films - part I and part II. We squeezed those two into a shorter version, to quickly go through all ten coffee spots.
If you are planning a visit to Helsinki or just willing to discover new coffee shops/roasteries, check out this video!
In spring 2013 the first qualification to Swedish Barista Cup was held i Stockholm Sweden. Through Espressospecialistens amzing talent and hard work, this machine was revealed for the first time.
The one and only orange La Marzocco at the one and only Drop Coffee
This year we looked for coffee that would satisfy our need for a sweet and good bodied espresso, while also finding a mill who was processing alternatively and also forward thinking. We decided to buy directly from a producer we bought coffee from last year JASAL.
JASAL is a family owned mill in the Santa Ana region that has been growing coffee for over 100 years. The coffee from Las Nubes and Las Ranas is sweet and well dried as to not allow for too fruity of a taste associate with honey processed and natural coffees that are dried too fast/hot.
We are using this coffee mostly for our espresso drinks this year!
Thanks to Andres Salaverria for his time with us this year at the mill and the farms!
