SPIRIT CANOE is the mystic journey of a man who is in search of himself and navigating through a passage with the memories of his once self and a special figure who lingers in his soul. He is setting out on a quest, armed with his old map and small canoe, to venture the river in hopes that a new path will reveal a novel future, unfamiliar and restoring. This is a story of the spiritual compass that no one can ever expect to understand; it’s powers, it’s unknown.

With the arrival of spring and of our new collection, we took a few days to fish for lake trout and brookies at the Réserve faunique du Saint-Maurice. We fished lakes and rivers and caught a bunch of nice fish from the shore. This is a great season start and we wish you the same! Follow our social medias for more fly fishing adventures aboard the Hooké Van this summer!
We meet Aaron Draplin at his day job as a designer at his studio, Draplin Design Company in Portland, Oregon. The tour quickly devolves into a discussion of his vast collections of well-organized junk, and includes a trip to an estate sale where Aaron picks up an ancient bag of peanut butter chips.
"Don't confuse me with being anything else other than proud. Proud to be a hunter. It's time we stop apologizing for how we get our protein. This is who we are. Unless you’re a small time rancher, small time farmer, a hunter or fishermen... you really have no idea where your food comes from. Most people don’t even think about it. Well, we think about it. ” - Donnie Vincent.
If you’re like me and hunting is part of who you are, share this video and hopefully we can get some people thinking differently about how they acquire their food and maybe, just maybe... we'll change their opinion about hunting.
