The Beach Channel’s new “It’s So Miami” series of neighborhood videos received 8-Emmy nominations for technical expertise in cinematography and post-production, and “It’s So Miami-Coconut Grove” won an Emmy for Best Director of Photography at the 38th Annual Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards held in Ft. Lauderdale last month.

“We are thrilled to receive this award,” said Executive Producer and Station Owner Max Wyler. “Our team has decades expertise in programming, production and post-production in this market and create programs tailored to the residents and tourists that showcase the best places to shop, dine and play throughout South Florida. We have a rich, vibrant cultural mix of great distinctive communities and are impassioned to produce “It’s So Miami” and share the treasures of each community with our viewers.”

Each “It’s So Miami” segment is narrated and filmed through the eyes of a resident who tells of his or her life in the community. “Amamay” tells of her life in Coconut Grove along with a bit of the communities’ history, its culture and the easiest way to meet its residents. To date, the “It’s So Miami” series has showcased the communities of: Miami, Wynwood, South Beach, Downtown and Little Havana.
