  1. Ben tries something extraordinary to bring his father out of a deep depression.

The film is a combination of live action and composited elements. Creating a skewed and dreamlike environment in which the story takes place. The live action was shot on digibeta on a blue screen stage with some set-build elements and the compositing was done using After Effects and Shake. The film was made in my final year on The National Film and Television School MA Animation program in 2002.

It won an award at ‘A Corto di Cinema’ Festival in Lucca, Italy, and was nominated for The Verna Fields Golden Reels Sound Award in LA. it also featured on the acompanying dvd of Mike and the Mechanics album Rewired.

Other Festival screenings: Anima Mundi, Edinburgh Film Fest ,Fidec, Brest, MFF Etiuda, Solo Para Cortos, Animac. Festival Bimini, Tiburon Festival, Notting Hill Film Fest.
