This video is especially good for women with digestive issues.
Digestive issues are a common manifestation of stress in both sexes, but they are more often seen in women and can become exacerbated towards the beginning and the end of the monthly cycle. This sequence uses a gentle series of twists, forward bends and lower abdominal stretches to stimulate blood flow and relax the smooth muscle of the digestive and reproductive organs, helping to alleviate bloating, constipation, and other digestive disturbances. Poses include: seated spinal twist, side bend, uttanasana (forward fold), modified sun salutation, bhujangasana (cobra), halasana (plough), setu bandha sarvangasana (bridge). Take plenty of time in your savasana and drink lots of water to flush out the organs after this practice. NYV0057C
