Over the summer of 2014, four people were hired by the Arizona Conservation Corps, The US Forest Service, and the Oak Creek Watershed Council to be Oak Creek Ambassadors: Cordel Adler, Dalton Zanetti, Kat Solorio, and Max Tapia. This program was funded by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality. These individuals spent the summer cleaning high recreation spots along the beautiful Oak Creek in Northern Arizona and educating the public about the problems associated with high recreation on the creek. The Slide Rock Fire gave the ambassadors time to think of ways to educate the pubic and it inspired Cordel and Dalton to create a film documenting their experiences. This is their resulting film and their hope is that one day we will not have a trash problem on our waterways. This is the story of the first ascent of Tuckwave (V11, 8a) by Danny Mauz on March 12th, 2014. In Flagstaff, AZ. The video starts with the last few days of Danny and Lundee projecting the boulder, and ends with the send. Special thanks to Voodoo Climbing, Jordan Green, Lundee, Ethan, Katherine Timmons, and everyone who came out to support Danny and the development of Skyline Boulders. This problem is located at the base of Mt. Elden, just across the trail and up the hill from the Ice 9 boulder. Enjoy!
This is the first accent of the E.R, Arete by Danny Mauz. This problem is located in the bird sanctuary just across from the Flagstaff mall. It's a highball V-5 with awesome exposure and a great view of town.
