  4. Scar tissue therapy requires softening the soft tissue. This is a process of breaking up the scared tissue and aiding the body to metabolize it. The therapy can lessen the visual severity of scarring. Removal depends on the severity of the scarring. Underneath the surface scar is the much larger mass of scarred tissue.

    This mass of scar tissue reduces normal soft tissue function by restricting the flow of fluids, including accumulated waste remove, oxygenation through increasing the supply of fresh blood and stimulating the fibroblasts to stimulate the natural healing process. The combination of stripping, shearing, pumping and pulling may be required to obtain the maximum stimulation to the injured tissue.
