  4. This clip includes the ideas of Vertical Circles - 4 Energies in a fixed step. So include the ideas of Ward Off, Roll Back, Press and Push in Traditional Yang Style Taijiquan. Also how one changes the circle direction to go from clockwise to anticlockwise and switch from single hand to double hand and back again. This is a two person demonstration of the ideas contained in Grasp The Bird.s (Grasp The Sparrow's Tail. Just as in the Form, we have two ward offs (right and left) a roll back, a press and a push. However, unlike the Form, we have to shorten the circles to remain connected. So in Form the movements are generally large to contain various ideas and energies. In Tou Shou, the circles have to follow the partner.

    They are filmed during group sessions in 2015 at Ripley Tai Chi Club.
