Synopsis: A look at the relationship between a little known mother and daughter in scripture whose “mothering” and “grandmothering” had a major impact on the development of the church through their child. Through them we learn that if you if you practice faith, you don’t have to have it all together in order to make a positive impact on your child’s life and the life of your church and community.
The disciples, like us, often had their own ideas of what God can do. God uses Jesus Christ talking to the two men on the road to Emmaus to help us see that an idea can be bigger than we can even imagine, we just have to trust God. Our understanding often limits God reality.
After Jesus' death and resurrection his Disciples did not have a complete understanding of everything that had happened. They were probably broken and disappointed from the recent event of Jesus' death. After they saw Jesus alive they fully understood the possibilities of the Resurrection.
