Pattern formation samples. The behavior of reaction-diffusion changes according to the density field and vector field maps.
In the first row was reproduced a set of patterns emerging from random distribution of the substances diffusing and reacting in a specific density field. The circular density field associates different couple of values to reaction variables F and k.

In the second row the density field is the same, but the initial condition consists of a spot distribution.
The last row differs from the second by the introduction of an anisotropic vector field that affects the propagation direction of one of the substances. In this case, the global configuration depends on the vector field directions, allowing to better define the properties of the pattern, according to design needs.
The aim of this research is to define an emerging pattern able to adapt to the environmental conditions for the creation of an artificial system of reefs.
