It's easy to forget what lies just beyond your back door step sometimes. In the last 6 months I've struggled to make it anywhere near the New Zealand wilderness landscapes that I just love to venture into with a few survival essentials and the usual gear - my cameras, tripods, batteries, dew straps, lenses, slider rigs, panning heads etc etc strapped to my back in search of some cool places and the angles to compose them and the light to showcase them. In the hard to reach places sometimes capturing just 20 seconds of time lapse footage takes months of waiting and a lot of planning.

When your out all alone in the remote areas the reality of life is broken down into very simple things. Staring up into the infinity of a clear star filled sky, in a half sleep state, and as the frost starts to settle, all there is to worry about is that your sleeping bag is warm enough, the fire is not going to die, the camera shutters are still going click click every 30 sec or so, that the lens heaters are stopping your lenses from fogging up - not complicated - pretty simple really - pretty easy to be happy.

Here's some footage shot over the last little while, in Aotearoa (The Land of the Long White Cloud) - New Zealand's North and South Islands - a special place of great beauty.

Please leave a comment if you wish, I'd love to hear from you. Once again, it is my hope that in bringing back a little piece of nature to portray in this way helps spark the respect we need to have for such incredible places.

All scenes shot in the North and South Island's of New Zealand.

Footage available to license up to 4k resolution.

    Main equipment used:
Canon 5D Mark II & III cameras and various Canon Lenses
Dynamic Perception Stage Zero 6ft Dolly
    Emotimo TB3 Black

Thanks to my family for putting up with my habit ;)

  5. Paris is an amazing city, not just for its architecture, culture and history , but also for the endless opportunities of getting amazing shots around every corner.
Even in the middle of the winter, Paris can surprise you with an amazing light. Yes, I was lucky!

Shot entirely with Sony A99. Wouldn`t be possible with other camera, I loved shooting with it, 50p looks awesome!
Lenses: Zeiss 16-35 and Sony 70-200
    Glidecam HD2000
Color corrected with Davinci Resolve Lite.

Special thanks to Emilie for hosting me and showing me the beauty of Paris.

    Opticas: Zeiss 16-35 y Sony 70-200
    Glidecam HD200

Norway, with its beautiful landscapes, always fascinated me to visit it. And last year I was there, creating this short movie with awesome scenery! Unfortunately I couldn't take much with me but it has the essentials.
