Our last ski-tour, a weekend in Ørsta – the 7th to 10th of April 2017. The whether rapport did not look to great, but we decided to give it a try – as this was out third attempt to The Sunnmøre Alps.
The whether did get as bad as reported, so we ended up walking in the lower part of the mountains and make two attempt on the same peak Fingeren (1180 MASL). This mountain is the neighbour to the well-known Kolåstinden (1432 MASL), but just about 800 meters from the start point…
But (!) we had a nice road trip (electric) and did visit a new part of Norway. We also had the opportunities to stay at the most coziest hotel so far, whit good dining, vine and some “après ski beers”.
Filmed with SONY, FDR-AX33 - Black and GoPro 4 black for the P.O.V. parts. Film clips are colored.
Music: Loud Pipes, Ratatat
This video is the best shots from our last ski touring weekend in The Romsdal alps, from the 7th to 10th of March, where we walked up – and skied down about 4300 altitude meters for the mountains; Hesten (1610m), Fløtatinden (1711m), Litlskjorta (1552m). This weekend proved to be one for the memories!
On the west coast of Norway, located right up against Molde, is one of the best alpine mountain areas for backcountry skiing in Europe; The Romsdal Alps (450 km north east of Oslo).
Filmed with Panasonic HDC-TM900, and two GoPro Hero 2 for the P.O.V. parts. Film clips are color corrected to the most accurate color reproduction, and otherwise it is put some light and color effects.

Why do we drive 450 km across the country from Oslo to The Romsdal Alps year after year?
This video is from our last ski touring weekend from the 5th to 8th of February 2015 – the same weekend one of the biggest storms (“Ole”) hit the north vest coast of Norway. As a result we only had success reaching one mountain peak; Kirketaket (1439m). The two other days were diving in the pow.
