PopeleiParade's first film. Shot over 3 gruelling days it follows the journey of these super human ramblers across the country side of south eastern England. Why would any one do it, you may ask? To raise money and awareness for a Human Rights Art Festival in South London.
Shot on a pretty basic SONY Handycam DCR-SR52 and edited on Premiere elements it is my first attempt at doing anything interesting with film. A little sketchy and a tad rough but I had loads of fun putting it together (even if Premiere elements kept crashing)!
Music by some pimp daddy's: Michael Jackson, Ska Cubano, The Cat Empire, The Proclaimers, Queen.
European Cycle Messenger Championships - Budapest 2010. A short film that captures the crazy, lazy, speedy, greasy, messy world of cycle couriers who compete over one week-end in Budapest to find Europe's fastest courier! With original kick ass bicycle beats from up n coming music genius Scott Jones, up-lifting Hungarian hiphop/funk from Irie Maffia and reggae's cool Copper Cat.
Popelei parade's second short film. Filmed on the same SONY camcorder and edited using Premiere Elements.
After 12 loooong hours of chop-sawing, drilling, screwing, lifting and carrying…the stage for the production of Knowledge of Angels is built!!! Thanks to our wonderful set-designer Josh Wyles and handy-man extraordinaire Joe Maloney - I cant quite believe we made it! You guys are amazing!
Shame we had to take it down again! (It will now be stored until tech rehearsal at the beginning of October)
It’s all starting to take shape…very exciting! Keep up to date with news at popelei.com
