A collection of timelapses from Ouarzazate province in Morocco.
While on the shoot of a TV drama series I bore witness to some incredible landscapes and weather patterns - not to mention some truly amazing local people, that became by the end good friends.
Although it was mainly the older generation I found many people uncomfortable with being photographed. Once I got to know friends they were more than happy to have photos taken, but I had become uncomfortable myself taking a photo.
I couldn't help but frame with my Western eye the exotic and rustic, and foreign aspect of Moroccans. Tourist pictures that you find all over the web. And I felt somehow that this is not what they saw, and moreover not what I saw in them, when actually talking and being with them.
So I decided in the final three weeks I should at least try to take some memories home of the amazing landscapes I had witnessed. Because this is what you see, when you live at the foot of a mountain and are walking along with your friends.
