This is the first short film in a series of 10 worked on this year with the aim of creating a series that would tell the story of House of Hope Village in rural Sumatra, Indonesia. I had the opportunity to travel to House of Hope in July 2014 and spent a week amongst the people there, hearing their stories and filming at the village and in the surrounding areas. With the help of some friends, a Miller tripod, a Glidecam HD2000, a Zoom H4N, a Gopro, a couple of DSLRs and a bunch of lenses I was able to capture the footage featured on all 10 of the short films in the series.
Thanks must go to Ps Mike & Ann Hill, the founders of Aid Indonesia, for trusting me with the task of telling their story and the stories of the people at House of Hope Village - whom they hold so dear.
Thanks must also go to Bethan Christian School for supporting me with time and resource to accomplish this project.
And finally thanks must also go to Stephen Hedrick for helping me out with post.
Cheers for stopping by and checking out this film. For more information about Aid Indonesia and House of Hope Village, please check out: aidindonesia.org.au
