With 3D-Coat v3.1, the UV editing tools have undergone a huge change! You can now fully edit your UVs with multiple unwrapping methods, such as ABF++ and LSCM. You can also brush smooth your UVs and further tweak them in quite a number of ways. I go into a good amount of detail on the basics of the new UV tools in 3D-Coat v3.2 in this video.
This is some really basic footage of a simple game I'm building with UDK. There's a lot of work to be done.
