This four screen film I made for Ear Cinema, playfully attempts to unravel the mysterious tale of Little Mary. The full 30 minute version of the film combined live stage performances. It premiered at London’s ICA then went on to play at The Arnolfini and continued its national and international touring show. The making of Late Noon Sun is a short demonstration of how the film was created for the screen. It also shows how the live stage performance worked with the multi screen film. Funders: The Arts Council of England. (4 mins).
Ear Cinema projects are led by Wajid Yaseen, who invites filmmakers to devise and create original pieces of work to incorporate interactive live performance and ambisonic soundscapes. Late Noon Sun is the third piece in a series of Ear Cinema projects.
