This is a tutorial I made for my classmates in class 1 of Animation Mentor. I wanted to show some quick rendering and lighting techniques I use in Maya when making character pose renders, specifically in how to get a solid color background with a shadow to ground the character. This is made with the beginner to lighting/rendering in mind, so I try to explain all the settings I tweak. Got a little carried away at points, so I apologize for some rambling.
This 'Making of Milk' shows a breakdown of lighting and rendering all scenes involving CG Ocean Waves for the spot 'Milk' by Psyop. It shows all the rendered passes and elements used for composing the final image and also the 3D scenes from a different perspective than the rendered Camera.
