1. Kristin Reger & Gella Zefira, Orb / Orbe 1, 2015.

An amorphous figure moves about the landscape. This figure is faceless, transformative, incorporeal. It blinks from one site to another, changing color and form. Its otherworldliness harkens upon the centuries of ritual and legend incited by the very sites it graces. Short scenes weave a non-linear montage and a sense of the supernatural, as does the film’s eerie soundscape and the sheer majesty of the sites’ cinematic transmission. The orb serves as a symbol of the intersection between old and new. It is a poetic alien interrupting the space.

  3. Three channel video with costumes. 6:09 min.
Filmed in the Historic Center and Tlatelolco, Mexico City

    SOMA, Mexico City

Tres Torres is a three-channel video installation taking place in what looks more like your trashy aunt’s living room circa 1980 than a gallery. The visitor is taken on a journey following three iconic Mexico City buildings: the Torre Banobras, the Torre Latinoamericana, and the Torre Telefónica. Oh yes, also: and each one has sprouted lady-legs to take us on a tour of the streets, its chance-encounter inhabitants, and of course, the buildings themselves.

Vídeo en tres canales. 6:09 min

  5. The act of flying has become a common reality of contemporary life. Disassembled Horizon is a collaboration between Francesca Du Brock and Daniel Monroy Cuevas that examines this pedestrian reality from a perspective of strangeness. The piece is a video installation where real and fictional elements come together in a play of simulated realities. The idea of flying is transformed into an incommensurable phenomenon, haunted by the threat of catastrophe.
