The relation between exile, nostalgia, the lack of translations. Some words cannot be saids in other languages. Saudade it's one of those. This work its related to exile, to the unknown on an ocean and the lost of adjustments, the need of getting back to the basics, a lullaby to pass by nostalgia.
Pablo Méndez b. 1988 Buenos Aires, Argentina.
He made studies in philosophy and art theory at the University of buenos aires, while he was in the Argentinean School of Photography. In 2012 he moved to France where he started his studies at the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photography, from where he got his diploma in 2015. It's in this last school that he started working on video and sound creation.
He participated in several workshops with artist and philosophers such as Gary Hill, Till Roeskens, Olivier Toulmonde, Gerardo and Fernando Montiel Klint, Marcelo Grosman, Ananké Asseff, Valeria Gonzalez, Jean Christophe Bailly, Georges Dupin, Arnaud Class, between others.
From 2008 he participated in several group exhibitions in argentina, and France. He's member of the group Overpass, the cooperative Disentida, and some unnamed groups of research in the contemporary creation in France, Mexico and Argentina.
His main solo exhibition was in the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie in Arles, France in 2015.
