Vancouver has been my summer getaway for a number of years now, and every time I return I can’t help but be in awe of its incredible scenery and ambiance. Last summer, I started a time-lapse project to convey how I experience this beautiful city through my own eyes. Nine months on, I am extremely proud to share with you, Vancouver in Motion.
Of course, this project would not have been possible without the help and dedication of some incredibly talented and patient people:
Diego Maccione spent months of his own time designing and implementing all of the titles and graphics, which create the visual alchemy that bring this time-lapse to life.
Linus Bergman gave the project its soul with his relentless experimentation and expertise on the project’s sound design.
I want to say thank you to my wife, Jennelle and my brother, Dominic for supporting my project and keeping me company during a number of my shoots.
To those of you who live in Vancouver, I want to say thanks for being such a pleasure to film around. Time-lapsing goes by a lot quicker when you get to meet and talk to other enthusiasts, and there was no shortage of those when I was out and about!
I’d also like to thank Vancouver Harbour Center and Aquabus Ferries for going out of their way with their permissions/schedules to help me in my endeavor.
I hope you enjoy watching Vancouver in Motion, please share it with your friends and family if you do. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to get in touch. I will be back in Vancouver again this summer and plan to start working on my next project then. Thanks for your time! ☺
