Dr. Farnaz Shadravan spent 10 hours a day, six days a week for two years etching Albrecht Dürer’s apocalyptic images into four bathtubs with her dental drill, to honor John the Baptist. This is her story. Farnaz was born and raised in Iran. She graduated from art school-University of Utah and from UCSF dental school. She has also had extensive training in printmaking and sculpture at San Francisco Art Institute and private workshops. She is currently based in Oakland, California.
