1. In the fall of 2013, with LHIN approved funding, St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph was designated the lead organization in establishing an aphasia program across Waterloo-Wellington. Ten distinct sites housed within Adult Day Program settings were determined to host the conversation (aphasia) groups. Since the announcement, there have been many hands involved in building and establishing these groups. The WWRAP team consists of Speech-Language Pathologists, Communicative Disorders Assistants and a Social Worker. The team’s focus has been to create communication access and support for individuals and families affected by aphasia.
