This film contains footage from the performance of four scores written by artist Emma Smith for the city of Bologna and performed on 30 August 2013.
These scores transpose a geographic map of the city into sonic form based on the mathematics of the traditional ringing methods of Bologna.
In the calculation of these scores it was discovered that a traditional score from the history of Bologna appeared to be missing. Through mathematics, the artist has been able to recalculate this score and to reconstruct it through the editing of this film.
