The office’s work spans architectural design, interactive media, robotic software development, data visualization and algorithmic consulting. The studio currently focuses on projects driven by the use of non-human intelligent agents to mediate and amplify the relationship between the digital, analog, and the human.
    M. Casey Rehm received a MSAAD from Columbia University in 2009 and his BARCH from Carnegie Mellon University in 2005. He has over 10 years of architectural experience, working for firms in New York, Los Angeles, Berlin, and London prior to opening Kinch. Currently he teaches design studios and seminars in architecture, programming and robotics in design at SCI-Arc in Los Angeles.

Martin Tamke is Associate Professor at the Centre for Information Technology and Architecture (CITA) in Copenhagen. He is pursuing a design led research on the interface and implications of computational design and its materialization. He joined the newly founded research centre CITA in 2006 and shaped its design based research practice. Projects on new design and fabrication tools for wood and composite production led to a series of digitally fabricated demonstrators that explore an architectural practice engaged with bespoke behaviour. He is considered a leading researcher in the emerging field of digital production in building industry with successful engagement in several research and industry based projects. Currently he is involved in the 7th framework project DURAARK, pursuing research into the creation of semantically rich links between Point Clouds and BIM in architectural workflows, the Danish funded 4 year Complex Modelling research project and the Horizon2020 project InnoChain, investigating future digital workflows between the engaged industry and academic partners.

Graduated at the University of Innsbruck Jannis started working as an architect for Snøhetta in 2013, contributing to several international projects, like for example the cable car station in Bolzano, strengthening Snøhettas philosophy focusing on the deep connection between architecture and landscape. In Snøhettas work, landscape is more than context – it is often utilized as a social democratic tool, allowing human interaction.
In collaboration with the French studio Cao Perrot, he worked at the innovative project for Swarovski Crystal World in Wattens. The so-called “Playtower” is a prototypical example of a building that uses landscape vocabulary in a series of stacked interior spaces.
