The video is inspired by lots of various designs that contains geometric shapes and by the idea that these shapes could interact with each other in motion. So it started as a series of motion tests that became one bigger motion graphics projects. No 3D software, no plugins were used here, all geometric shapes were animated by hand in After Effects.
Produced in early 2011.

Here, I took out the footage of the dance, which produced the 2D motion graphic by itself.
A 2 day project, started with the idea of creating a visual film using amateur video capture. As an amateur popper, I record myself while popping to a beat. The idea was to use the freestyle footage and create a visual representation, a motion graphic, that would change the ordinary footage into a creative work.
The visual graphic itself is as much freestyle as the popping performance, using what is availble and following your guts. As a typography enthusiast it was as experimental as a challenge for 2D vector motion graphic. Rotoscoping and adding geometries to keep the footage exciting of its visuals as well as the freestyle popping.
It goes hand in hand with the thesis project I did a few months back. Visualization of the movement or the flow of movement to create visual representations or visual works itself as a form of art or education.

PS. for the music I was just listening it on youtube and dancing... I'll drop it if someones says otherwise.
Titles, teasers and openers for the design conference We Love Graphic Design in Copenhagen Denmark. Made as a co-creation with the amazing and wonderful Hvass & Hannibal. We did all the motion stuff.
Please throw us a comment on what you think!
