Naomi Nalokaye is one of millions of women whose lives have been transformed by World Vision’s efforts to eliminate hours of walking for water by providing access to a nearby safe water source. In Naomi’s case, her journey was reduced from 7 hours a day to 7 minutes.
In March of 2015, Drs. Alexis Shields and Shannon Weeks set up a mobile clinic for the Morwakee village located deep in the mountains of Northern Thailand. The people receive little to no medical care and many have never seen a doctor. The village of 200+ men, women and children is without electricity, has limited access to clean water, and experiences a long dry season that makes growing healthy food very difficult. Proceeds will go toward basic medical supplies, buying medicines, and providing regular access to medical care. To give support, visit https://www.crowdrise.com/landofsmiles.
