This is a montage of memories from a rather spontaneous stay in New York City, Summer 2011. We went there for a week, but then ended up staying for 3 months. Although we were mostly just drinking beer, Clemens and I had our DSLRs with us and captured some scenes in this wonderful city.
During that time the Bon Iver album came out and I listened to it non-stop, so I just had to use this track.
Filmed all handheld, Canon 7D & Canon 60D

When I start to get stressed or overwhelmed one thing that I like to do is take my longboard out for a solitary nighttime ride. I have been taking these rides since finals week my freshman year of college so I decided to make a short film trying to show some of the sights, sounds, and moods that help make it so peaceful.
"You won’t see them often, for wherever the crowd is they are not. Those odd ones, not many but from them come the few good paintings the few good symphonies the few good books and other works. And from the best of the strange ones perhaps nothing."
