This final message in the Series "Crisis At Home" asks and answers the question: "Can the family be saved?" In this sinful world where the basic unit of society is constantly being redefined and assaulted, it is good to know that God has the answers and always has the last word. This message was presented by Craig Miller, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio Sunday, July 12, 2015.
What are the various definitions we have for marriage? How has the recent Supreme Court decision changed the legal definition of marriage in the United States and how does that compare with the biblical definition found in the scriptures? Jason Lea, Dean of Biblical Studies at Cedarville University and also a member of Grace Baptist Church opens the Word of God for us as to where we must stand as Believers and upholders of the Word of God. This message was presented Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio.
Rearing a child in the faith is a real concern for all parents. Sometimes we count as promises what we should treat as proverbs. Even when we do everything we are told to do in scripture or by well-meaning pastors and seminar leaders, acceptance of and obedience to the faith really boils down the will of the child. Where does our responsibility (fault) end and that of the child begin? Pastor Craig Miller, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio gives us guidelines to help our thinking in this area. This message was presented Sunday, June 28, 2015.
It seems our culture is bent on confusing little boys as to what is their role in society. Once upon a time boys were expected to grow and mature, become responsible adults whose word was their bond, got married and had children by the age of 21. With the rise of feminism in the '60s and recent alleged "confusion" over sexual orientation, boys are increasingly confused over just what they should "grow up" to be. Some would even try to argue that men are not needed unless they learn to be passive and submissive. In this message, Pastor Craig Miller, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio attempts to stimulate thought on how members of the congregation can help boys grow up to be responsible, God-fearing adults who will then shoulder the responsibility for the next generation. This message was presented Sunday June 21, 2015.
A recent survey polled teens asking how well they held to the inerrancy of The Bible. The surprising finding was that, depending on how the question was asked, young people could actually contradict themselves! Just how good are we at passing on our convictions and beliefs to the next generation? Mike Standish, pastor for student ministries at Grace Baptist Church, explores this topic and suggests what parents can do. This message was presented Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio.
