The World Heli Challenge is a gathering of big mountain free-riding skiers and snowboarderswho love carving big lines and getting their freestyle groove on in the backcountry. They are elite athletes who come from all corners of the globe for this unique heli-accessed event.
22 athletes came together for two weeks during August in majestic Wanaka in the South Island of New Zealand and when they weren’t accessing the mountains by helicopter they found plenty of other ways to get their stoke on and keep the adrenaline pumping by surfing the local breaks (even a standing river wave), paragliding, bungy-jumping, skateboarding and enjoying the beautiful local area.

Rock Star, Ninja, Jedi, Guru and Unicorn... This mythical T-shaped creature can make any unusable interface a magical experience, restitute poor strategy decisions, mitigate lack of management vision, inspire an under resourced development team, and squeeze mesmerizing rainbows out of woefully inadequate budgets. Unfortunately it doesn’t exist… Or does it?
In collaboration with Webdagene 2015, we went unicorn-hunting with Rockstar Lauren Currie, Ninja Krystal Higgins, Guru Gerry McGovern & Jedi Master Mike Monteiro in this panel on designers, skill sets, and company culture.
