"What would you do if you lost a quarter pound of weed?
A comedy about college, relationships, and marijuana (not necessarily in that order) "Quarter Past" follows Jackson and Rob on their search for weed. More specifically, a quarter pound of weed that, on one fateful day, inexplicably disappears from their room. Though they don't exactly see eye to eye on most issues (cleanliness of the room, importance of their studies, loudness of Rob's parties) Jackson and Rob are going to need to work together if there's any chance of them finding the very, very large sum of weed belonging to the former. On a college campus, the list of suspects may get out of hand.
Directed by Kevin Kearns and Brian Schwartz, two college students whose combined passion for filmmaking and procrastination one day led to one of them asking the other: "Wanna make a movie?" The response? "Yeah, and let's make it about weed." The result of this conversation is "Quarter Past." The majority of the writing occurred in early 2015, largely during their political science lectures, and production followed that spring, with the four forthcoming installments planned to be released literally whenever we have the free time to make them. And when you consider the modest budget of roughly $200, plus snacks, all of this should seem slightly more impressive. Hopefully.
